Firefighters conducted an aggressive offensive fire attack to extinguish the fire. Crews also utilized salvage covers to protect the contents and furniture from water damage.
The fire appears to have started when a tree fell across the electrical service line damaging the weather head and electrical service to the residence.
CLECO was notified to secure the electrical service to the residence.
