Ward Six Fire Protection recently purchased a 2020 Polaris Ranger Northstar Edition brush unit, equipped with a 75 gallon skid unit with foam firefighting capabilities. This all-terrain vehicle and skid unit was purchased at no cost to tax payers utilizing funds from a Calcasieu Parish Gaming Funds grant and will be used for grass and woods fires throughout the fire district.
