As of today, Ward 6 Fire Protection District #1 has started construction on a new apparatus bay at their Station 2 location, 108 Marcantel Rd.
The new apparatus bay will feature additional parking for 3 fire trucks and brush fire equipment. The project will also feature a breathing air compressor room, fire gear decontamination and cleaning room and an additional resource supply room.
All parking lots will be hard surfaced and the north entrance upgraded to provide safer access to the facility from Hwy. 27.
This project is funded by a bond issue approved by the residents of Ward 6 in 2017.
