Although one of our stations was completely demolished by Laura and two of our trucks, one of them brand new, are trapped inside the station, we at Ward 6 Fire Dept are still in service to our community. 3 of our other stations suffered damages as well.
Our firefighters led the troops this morning, cutting numerous huge trees from the roadways and highways so that folks could drive around our district.
Many, many thanks to our dedicated firefighters who haven’t even stopped to eat today, spending their time helping our citizens, even while most of them suffered major damage at their own homes.
We are still here to protect you and your families and we will be here for many years to come. We will rebuild!!
