Ward 6 Fire Protection District #1 is staffed by dedicated volunteers that enjoy serving their community. Volunteerism throughout the volunteer fire service has been declining in recent years and the majority of volunteer fire departments are seeking motivated individuals who want to serve their community with pride, teamwork, and excellence. In the past few weeks, Ward 6 Fire has been fortunate to add 5 new volunteer firefighters to our membership. The new volunteer firefighters were recognized at the Ward 6 Fire business meeting on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 for their dedication to the citizens and community within the Ward 6 Fire Protection District.
