At 9:24 this morning, we were called to respond to a vehicle crash on Route 66 with possible extrication needed. Upon our arrival, the driver was out of the vehicle and a small amount of smoke was coming from the engine compartment. We cooled the engine off and provided patient care until Acadian Ambulance arrived on scene. Air Med responded and transported the driver to the hospital. Mutual aid assistance was received from HOUSTON RIVER FIRE DEPARTMENT. Thank you to the bystanders who helped us and the patient until the ambulance arrived on scene.
