Captain Teri Parker and Firefighter Desire’e White installed free smoke alarms today for an elderly resident who lives in the DeQuincy area.

We have installed more than 375 FREE alarms since January 1, 2022 and still have plenty available. We currently have 2 different types, one being smoke & fire and the other being 3-in-1 smoke, fire and carbon monoxide. The 3-in-1 alarms are for homes with gas service or generators. Batteries in both types last for 10 years and never have to be changed.
