At 9:12am, Ward 6 Engine 5, Service 6, and unit 903 with 6 firefighters responded to a vehicle crash in the 4800 blk of Hwy 27 near Marcantel Rd. Upon arrival, one occupant was able to self extricate and the driver was still located in the driver seat Firefighters used extrication tools to gain access to the patient. Both occupants were transported to the hospital by Acadian Ambulance.
The vehicle which was pulling a utility trailer appeared to have left the roadway, and struck a tree before overturning. Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved.
