| The Teams that have worked providing manpower to Ward Six Fire Protection District No One and HOUSTON RIVER FIRE DEPARTMENT from Lafourche Parish Fire District 3 and Little Caillou Fire Dept. were demobilized to return to their fire districts.
The help they provided staffing trucks and responding calls allowed us to rotate our volunteers out for a much needed break following several days on the front lines at the largest wildfire in the State of Louisiana.
The work ethic they showed while taking care of our community was exemplary. Ward 6 and Houston River stand ready to respond to their needs if they face disasters and request help. We have made life long friends and we are all family in the fire service.
Thank you Chief Devin Dedon, Lafourche FD #3 and Chief Amanda Thibodeaux for helping us with these firefighters, you both have amazing people ready to commit to serving not only their community, but our community in SWLA. |
