At 12:34am, on September 13, 2023, Ward Six Fire Protection District No One Engine 7, units 901 and 904 responded with 6 firefighters to a vehicle crash on Route 66.

Upon arrival, a vehicle was located on its roof in the ditch. Despite severe damage to the vehicle, the occupant only had minor injuries and refused transport by ambulance to a hospital.

Crews assisted with providing scene lighting so the vehicle could be recovered by the wrecker service.
