On Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11:15pm, Ward Six Fire Protection District No One Engine 17 and Unit 901 responded to a mutual aid request from Ward 1 Fire Department for a structure fire on John Belle Rd. in Moss Bluff.

Crews assisted with overhaul of a mobile home and 2- RVs that had been destroyed by fire.

Ward 6 crews worked most of the day performing practical skills for Firefighter certification and then responding to 2 mutual aid structure fires. The oppressive heat with heat index over 100 degrees is very taxing on the firefighters. The volunteers dedication to serving is amazing.
