2024 Annual Report Ward 6 Fire Protection District #1 had an extremely busy year

Call volumes have increased and our volunteers tirelessly dedicate themselves to protect the community.

Structure Fires including Mutual Aid / Auto Aid - 42
Rescue, Assist EMS - 90
Vehicle Fires – 11
Fires in Brush, Grass, Wildland, Outside - 64
Fires in Rubbish, Including Dumpsters - 7
Hazardous Materials Responses - 13
False Alarm Responses - 27
Other Hazardous Responses (arcing wires, power line down, etc.) 13
All Other Responses - 174

Total Responses 2024 = 441

Firefighters installed 59 smoke alarms in residential structures participating in the Operation Save-A-Life program through the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal.

Ward 6 firefighters also completed 4,590 hours of training to enhance their skills as they protect our community with pride, teamwork, and excellence.
