At 2:44am, Ward 6 Fire was dispatched to a single vehicle crash on Hwy 27 near Marcantel Rd. with 2 occupants trapped.

On arrival of fire department, a pickup truck was observed flipped on its side against a tree.
Firefighters made contact with the occupants and immediately began stabilizing the vehicle for extrication. Both occupants were extricated from the vehicle. 1 occupant was transported to the hospital by Acadian Airmed, 1 occupant transported by Acadian Ambulance.

Hwy 27 was closed during rescue operations and to recover the vehicle. All traffic was detoured via Marcantel Rd and Route 66.
Hwy 27 was reopened to traffic at approximately 4:30am.
