At approximately 1:20pm, Ward 6 Fire responded to a reported vehicle on fire on Carol Hixson Rd.

On arrival approximately 1 acre of grass was burning and it had spread to a tractor. The tractor was fully involved. Firefighters extinguished the tractor fire and contained the grass fire.

Mutual Aid was requested from HOUSTON RIVER FIRE DEPARTMENT for a brush truck and Brush UTV to assist with extinguishment and mop up of the fire.
