Fire hoses are required to be tested annually to meet NFPA recommendations and ensure firefighters have hoses that will withstand the rigors of firefighting.
This week Axcess Hose and Ladder Company is testing approximately 20,000 feet of fire hose on all of the trucks at Ward 6.
Property Insurance Association of Louisiana (PIAL) also requires this annual test as part of our PIAL inspection that occurs every 5 years.
