| STAY SAFE. π§ With summer temperatures rising, staying hydrated is more than just a recommendation, it can help prevent serious heat related illnesses. π§ Drink water regularly, even if you donβt feel thirsty. β οΈ Watch for signs of heat exhaustion, including heavy sweating, weakness, dizziness, headache, nausea, and muscle cramps. If someone becomes confused, loses consciousness, or has extremely hot skin, call 911 immediately. These may be signs of a life-threatening heat emergency. As firefighters, we know how quickly heat can take a toll on the body. Whether youβre working, exercising, attending an outdoor event, or simply enjoying the summer, drink water, take breaks, and listen to your body. π₯ Stay cool. Stay hydrated. Stay safe. π§ |
