Reminder, our area has been under a burn ban for approx. 2 weeks. Tropical Storm Edouard rainfall totals across the DeQuincy / North Sulphur areas range from 0.25" to 1". The deficit we currently have we definitely need more rain. We will continue to monitor the rainfall and consult with National Weather Service on additional rainfall expected over the next few days. This will help the fire chiefs make a decision on recommending if the burn ban can be lifted. |
