Structure fire!

On Monday, Sept 21, 2026 at 11:23pm, Ward Six Fire Protection District No. One was dispatched to a reported structure fire in 100 blk of Shoemake Rd.

DeQuincy Volunteer Fire Department and HOUSTON RIVER FIRE DEPARTMENT were dispatched as automatic aid.

On arrival of Ward 6 Command unit 901, heavy fire was observed throughout the travel trailer. Firefighters began defensive suppression operations to control and extinguish the fire. The travel trailer was a total loss.
