Ward 6 Fire Protection District #1 recently completed the evaluation of the fire department, water supply, and communications protocols by the Property Insurance Association of Louisiana (PIAL).

The department was notified today that the department has maintained the Public Protection Classification 4 for the next 5 years.

The review is an extensive process covering fire response capabilities, firefighter training, training facilities, apparatus, water supply, and the 911 communications system.

Thank you to all of the volunteer firefighters that respond and train for emergencies so that we can serve the citizens of Ward 6 in Calcasieu Parish.
