| It has been a busy week at Ward Six Fire Protection District No. One. Annual hose testing of all fire hoses is being conducted. If you passed by our station on Marcantel Road, you may have noticed all the activity.
Hose testing is a very important task that is required to be completed annually on each fire hose in the fire district. This testing provides the firefighters assurance that the hoses they use to enter burning structures, extinguish fires, and conduct training meet the NFPA requirements.
The testing is being conducted by Sharp Testing Services, inc. The company tests the hose to meet NFPA requirements and re load the hose on each apparatus. The district has more than 19,000 feet of fire hose that has been tested this week. |
