At 11:21pm Dec. 24, 2019, Ward 6 Firefighters responded to a structure fire at 1118 Edwards Rd in the North Sulphur area. Upon arrival of the first unit, the home was fully involved with fire and had spread to a travel trailer located next to the home. Firefighters were able to protect another home in close proximity to the fire. The owners were not at home and no firefighters were injured during the extinguishment of the fire. Automatic Aid was received from Houston River FD and DeQuincy FD.
