Congratulations to our Fire Chief, Todd Parker and his wife, Sydnie Mae Parker on the birth of their new baby girl, Karli Rae, born today in Jackson, MS where Sydnie was evacuated to. Karli was 7lbs, 9ozs and 20 inches long.
Todd has been working 20 hours a day since before the storm hit last week and it’s been extremely stressful for him and his wife to have to go thru the impending birth while being apart and with so much devastation happening here, with damages to their home as well. He was able to travel to Mississippi yesterday to be with her for the birth of their daughter. He said it was the hardest things he’s ever had to do when he got in his vehicle and had to leave our community during this awful time. We have a team of officers who are covering his duties while he is with his family this week.
We are so appreciative of his commitment to our community and our department and we want to wish them both congratulations on their new addition!
