Ward 6 Engine 7, FP1 and 6 firefighters responded to a mutual aid request from Beauregard Fire District 2 for an oil well fire on Pete Gimnick Rd.
Upon arrival of Beauregard FD 2 there were 2 tanks that were fully involved and collapsed. Fire was burning in the dyke area around the tanks and several ground spill fires were burning adjacent to the well site.
E7 Deluge gun and firefighting foam was utilized to extinguish the remaining fires in the dyke area and tank, Beauregard FD 2 trucks provided water supply through shuttle operations. Ground spill fires were monitored and allowed to burn.
