Ward Six Fire Dept was called at 1:38 this morning to provide automatic aid to DeQuincy Fire Dept for a structure fire on Yoakum Avenue in DeQuincy.
Upon arrival of the first engine, flames were showing from all sides and the roof of the home. The fire had also spread to 2 vehicles parked in front of the home. Occupants of the home were able to escape, with 2 being transported to the hospital.
Firefighters and trucks from DeQuincy, Ward Six, Houston River and Beauregard Dist 2 Fire Depts responded to the scene. There were no injuries sustained to any of the firefighters who responded.
