On Tuesday, March 28 at 6:30 pm, Ward 6 volunteers participated in training at CERTC with approx 60 other volunteer firefighters from SWLA. The training topics consisted of Search and Rescue Operations, Vehicle Fire Suppression, Interior Structure Fire Attack, LPG Flammable Gas control, and Rural Water Supply Operations.

The other departments participating in training were HOUSTON RIVER FIRE DEPARTMENT, DeQuincy Volunteer Fire Department, Beauregard Parish Fire District 2, Allen Parish FD #5.

Ward 6 Firefighters practiced establishing water supply using portable tanks and Tanker Shuttle operations.

Our volunteers are an invaluable resource to the community and dedicate their time to serve the community. The volunteers are always training to be the best they can be and protect the citizens of Ward Six Fire Protection District No. One with Pride, Teamwork, and Excellence.
