Firefighters from Ward 6, DeQuincy, Houston River, Beauregard, Johnson Bayou and Hackberry are at the Calcasieu Emergency Response Training Center this evening
Training on SCBAs (air packs), rehab setup, search & rescue, hose advancement and ladder training is being conducted.
Our departments train regularly together so that we can function efficiently as one team at structure fires or any other type of emergency when multiple departments are on scene.
We are so blessed to have an excellent training facility in our parish in order to conduct required drill training with our neighboring departments. We are also blessed to have such a great working relationship with these departments.
There are approximately 70 firefighters in attendance at the training.
