The burn ban is still in place and rainfall data is being monitored. The Louisiana State Fire Marshal and Calcasieu Parish Police Jury will make a decision in the future on the status of the burn ban.
In the next week we will be providing information on open burning laws in the State and Parish, as well as safety tips for keeping your outdoor fires under control when the burn ban has been lifted.
Thank you all for your patience.
