At 12:17am, Ward Six Fire Protection District No. One responded as automatic aid to Ward 5 Fire Department for a structure fire on Keith Deen Rd.

Upon arrival of the fire department, light smoke was emitting from the attic space. Firefighters discovered a smoldering fire in the attic insulation around the area of the chimney, Firefighters removed the ceiling sheetrock and all of the burned insulation. The home suffered minor damages. While on scene one was injured and transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

At 8:07am, Chief Todd Parker received a call reporting black smoke in the 1500 blk of Hwy 12. Chief Parker arrived on scene approx 3 minutes later and discovered a pickup truck fully involved with fire. Engine 19 and Service 8 responded with 4 firefighters to extinguish the fire, there was no damage to a nearby residence.

While at the above call, Ward 6 was dispatched to the 800 blk of Willow Springs rd. for a vehicle crash. E 11 and 3 firefighters responded. The occupants of the vehicles were not injured.

At 4:58pm, an off duty Ward 6 Firefighter reported a crash in Beauregard Parish Fire District 2 on Hwy 12 near the Calcasieu Parish Line. Unit 901 responded and arrived approx. 2 minutes later. Extrication tools were used to remove trees that prevented the driver from exiting the vehicle. The driver had minor injuries.
