On Monday, December 29 at 2:23pm, Ward 6 Fire responded to a mutual aid request from Beauregard Parish Fire District 2 for a structure fire on Pierce Road.

Command unit 902 arrived on scene at 2:29pm and the residential structure was fully involved with fire. Fire also spread into a field and woods.

Firefighters conducted defensive firefighting operations. Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry was notified to assist with the woods fire.

Agencies on scene included Beauregard FD 2, Ward Six Fire Protection District No. One, DeQuincy Volunteer Fire Department. HOUSTON RIVER FIRE DEPARTMENT and Ward 5 FD provided standby for Ward 6 and DEQuincy while we worked to extinguish the fire.
