All together, hundreds of acres burned during these fires. Weather conditions are conducive for fast fire development. We are asking the public to refrain from burning until we get some rain. High winds, dry fuels, and low humidity are perfect conditions to create devastating wildfires. The majority if the woods fire started from landowners burning trash or yard debris.

Ward 6 currently has firefighters from Ward 1 Fire and Allen Parish FD #4 staffing our trucks tonight so the dedicated volunteers can get rest and rehab after the last 24 hours of running calls. |
