| At 1:38am, Ward 6 Engine 5, Service 6 and Command Unit 901 responded as automatic aid to Ward 5 Fire Protection District for a reported camper trailer on fire threatening a residential structure.
While enroute Calcasieu Parish E911 advised responding units that the fire had ignited the residential structure. On arrival, the trailer was fully involved and the home was approximately 50% involved with a partial roof collapse.
Firefighters conducted defensive fire suppression tactics to begin extinguishment. HOUSTON RIVER FIRE DEPARTMENT, Ward 7 Fire, and Deweyville Texas fire were requested via mutual aid to respond with tankers and manpower.
Acadian Ambulance responded to standby for firefighters on scene. The Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire. |
