The drought conditions still exist, the little rainfall has helped but we are not out of the woods. We have started getting calls of people burning, please wait to burn.
Ward 6 Fire participates in a survey every Tuesday with the Louisiana State Fire Marshal, Louisiana Deptartment of Agriculture & Forestry, and fire chiefs from throughout the state. The burn ban is still active and will be reviewed again on Tuesday, Sept. 19.
